During my travels through the picturesque countryside of France, I had the most magical experience exploring the charming villages of the Loire Valley. Among the hidden treasures of antique shops, we stumbled upon a quaint bookstore filled with a covey of 19th-century magazines and papers.
As I dug through the delicate pages, I uncovered a set of 1920s news prints, some of which were so fragile they were crumbling in my hands. Inspired by the moment, I decided to tear and transform them into something new. Bit by bit, I carefully painted, layered, sanded, and painted again until this piece—what I now call A Horse with No Name—came to life!
The background is a beautiful deep turquoise. I wanted nothing to distract from this beautiful animal!
