Chroma Collective Gallery’s March Exhibition

RADIATE:
Light And Soul

July 1 - August 31

Welcome to Chroma Collective Gallery’s fifth exhibition, “RADIATE: Light And Soul”. It’s mid-summer and the warm sun fades into aquamarine blue long after kids’ bedtimes. Wishes are launched on shooting stars as meteors radiate the late July skies. Fireflies magically appear from out of nowhere inspiring awe and wonder. Art can similarly set in motion sparks of light and soul as we become captivated by it, moved by it. We aspire to bring awe and wonder, as well as some much-needed hope and light, into this world through the artists we share and their creations - we encourage you to peruse this exhibition at a leisurely summer pace and perhaps you will find a bit of magic and ease in the brushstrokes.

I have wanted to paint a triptych forever, so, I called my brother and asked him to help me build the baltic birch cradled panels. (of course, this means HE builds them, and I just sweep the floor)!

These are brighter than I usually paint, and not abstract, more graphic arts meets fun! I don’t know why they were so easy…layers and layers. Check them out in my portfolio to see the details.

Chroma Collective Gallery founders: I met these five fabulous ladies thru Connected Artists Club. Alice Sheridan put together “pods” of artists that had similar degrees of interests. Liz Dexter was our fearless leader, and together we shared a year of camaraderie and friendships. Meeting twice a month for a few hours at a time. We talked everything art! As Covid alienated us more and more, we found comfort in our bi-monthly zoom meetings. I honestly feel so close to them, and we will get the opportunity to meet in person this May! I’m really looking forward to seeing them live!
